Alan and I love Thai food! So, not only were we looking forward to eating our way through Thailand, but we wanted to take the opportunity to learn how to prepare some of the dishes we love.
We spent a full day at Siam Rice cooking school with Nancy as our teacher.
The day started at the market, where we learned about all the ingredients we would be using in the seven courses we would be preparing during the day.
Then we had a little time to explore the market on our own
Once we got to the school we got set up at our stations and it was time to cook!
Some of us cooked with fire!
Throughout the day we each made seven courses.
salad, appetizer, soup, curry paste, curry, dessert, noodles.
They were each delicious and beautiful!
But it was hard work!
