The Blooming of the Plumeria

When we went on our honeymoon in April 2004 we bought this 6 inch stick in a bag at one of the local markets. All the directions were was to plant it about 2 inches deep and leave it. So we did and it grew some leaves and grew 8 inches over the summer. Then in the winter as with most trees the leaves fell off and we did the whole thing again in 2005. By the summer of 06 we were starting to wonder if this damn stick that we bought was ever going to do anything besides grow leaves and continue growing straight up and just becoming a bigger stick. Well a couple of weeks ago we noticed that it had starting doing something interesting. We didn't know what it was but finally we started to figure out that it was going to actually going to bloom. So here is the photo of the first bloom that we ever got on this tree. So we are very proud of course....

All things come to him who waits! See what a little patience produces! The picture is beautiful so I know the actual bloom is even more beautiful. Enjoy! MOM (WOW upside down)
